The wardrobe

In the summer of 2009 I worked in a corporate setting, and every day to work I wore some version of slacks, blouse, heels, etc. It was frumpy, boring, and my closet reminded me of what a middle aged woman would wear.

Flash forward to November of 2011. There are currently only 1 pair of slacks left in my closet, and 1 button up shirt because I can't bear to get rid of it (I like the ruffles). Neither have been worn since I last stepped foot into my old office.

A completely delightful and unexpected fact is that when I switched careers, I sort of switched around my whole life, especially my style. My closet is now full of billowy tops, chunky sweaters, short skirts, leggings, knee high boots, and lots and LOTS of black!

I love that there's no "dress code" in this field, and that I have the option to get creative with what I'm wearing. I'm wearing things these days I wouldn't have been caught dead in 3 years ago, and I'm loving it.

While I still prefer to keep it simple and classy, I'm still having tons of fun with these perks I didn't even think of when I signed up to switch careers...

If anyone needs a collared shirt or some slacks, call me...
