Time for numbers!

Today I spent a lot of time on the computer at work, and was looking up hair "stuff". I type in "hair statistics" and came up with this interesting information. Millions of women can't be wrong, can they?

  • 50% of women over the age of 25 color their hair
  • 80% of chemical work being done in salons involves covering gray and changing your hair color

Personally, I've been coloring my hair since I was about 18, and I honestly couldn't tell you what it would look like if I let it grow without coloring it. Sort of a dark blond I would guess...

  • $2 billion each year on shampoo
  • $1.4 billion on conditioner
  • $700 million on hairspray
  • $150 million on men's products

Note that this doesn't even include trips to the salon for cut and color!!!

There are literally thousands of hair products out there for you to try, and the numbers prove that people are trying them! I have so much fun every day playing with products myself, and finding ones I love, and ones I don't love so much.

Have fun with it!!!
