Some color charts end at a level 10, and so go up to 12. At school we don't go any higher than a 10, but I'm guessing it just depends on the type of color you're using.

Color Levels
I was talking to a friend the other day, who is a blonde wanting to go dark. As I started to explain what I wanted to do to her hair, I realized she had no idea what I was talking about when it comes to color levels. I thought I would be practical and post a color chart here for easier understanding for "civilians".
Some color charts end at a level 10, and so go up to 12. At school we don't go any higher than a 10, but I'm guessing it just depends on the type of color you're using.
