As you can see from my profile picture, I am a big fan of the pin up hair...
There's something so timeless about the styles to me, they never seem to go out of fashion. My hair is a little short right now for the full on effect, and my bangs are growing out, but sometime here soon again I'd like to be rocking the victory rolls and the rolled bangs.
When I first started doing it, it was either hit or miss. The actual roll itself either came out looking like a chewed up sausage, or I'd get one side perfect and the other side fell down, but after (tons of) practice and a little bit of hairspray, I think I've got it down to a 10 minute science. With the shorter length hair it also doesn't take as long to curl, which I'm happy about.
I try to keep it a little understated mostly, otherwise I feel like I look to costumey, but I feel like you can never go wrong with a nice wave and a well placed roll!
